Author. Entrepreneur. Leader. Mentor.
Who She Is Today
A Life of Building, Leading & Learning
LaTasha Bond Williams is an author, entrepreneur, leader, and mentor who believes meaningful growth begins with clarity of purpose—backed by strategic thinking, decisive action, and continuous adaptation.
For more than two decades, LaTasha has built and operated businesses, managed financial oversight, invested in real estate, guided organizations through complex challenges, and advised leaders across both the public and private sectors. Her experience in executive leadership and service on national and regional committees has shaped a career grounded in strategic leadership, risk management, and organizational impact.
Through every stage of her journey, she has operated on a core principle: success rarely follows a rigid, linear path. It requires clarity about the outcome, the discipline to execute, and the agility to recognize and capitalize on unexpected opportunities.
Today, that philosophy shapes what LaTasha creates, builds, and writes—and her belief that we can be intentional about the opportunities we pursue, the decisions we make, and what we ultimately build.
Entrepreneurship
Building Beyond Books
LaTasha’s love of building extends well beyond the written page. As an entrepreneur and longtime real estate investor, she has spent years building and operating businesses, investing in properties, solving problems, and turning ideas into tangible opportunities.
Those experiences have shaped how she thinks about ownership, risk, opportunity, and success. They have also reinforced something she has learned repeatedly throughout her life:
Sometimes the right opportunity isn’t something you find—it’s something you build.
Family Legacy
A Teacher at Heart
Teaching and learning run deeply through LaTasha’s family. Her great-aunt, Pearl Thompson Furey, was a pioneering educator who spent 44 years in the classroom, much of that time teaching Black children in segregated schools in Charles County, Maryland. She began her preparation at Bowie Normal School and later continued her education at Morgan State College.
That legacy continued through LaTasha’s mother, Fern Bond, who pursued her own path in education at Bowie State, and through LaTasha, who later attended Morgan State—following, in their own ways, a path first traveled by Aunt Pearl.
Their example helped shape LaTasha’s belief in the power of education, lifelong learning, and sharing knowledge with others. Although her own classroom has often looked different—from professional leadership and mentoring to youth development, community service, and now writing—the desire to teach, encourage, and help others grow remains a constant.

Community
Leadership Through Service
For LaTasha, leadership has always extended beyond professional titles. She has devoted years to organizations supporting families, older adults, housing, and youth development, serving in roles ranging from volunteer and mentor to board leader and Interim Executive Director.
Her work with organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Thanks Mom & Dad Fund, Christmas in April, and Thrive Youth Development reflects a longstanding commitment to service—and a belief that leadership matters most when it creates opportunities for others.
The Chapter Still Being Written
Still Becoming
LaTasha doesn’t believe growth has an expiration date. She continues to write, build, invest, learn, challenge herself, and remain open to what comes next.
Her work—whether through books, business, mentorship, or service—is grounded in a belief that has followed her through each chapter of her life:
"We can honor where we’ve been without allowing it to determine where we go next."
